Chicken Pizza with Black Olive

Chicken Pizza with Black Olive

The first time I decided to make pizza from scratch, it wasn’t just about food; it was about testing my patience and skill in the kitchen. Kneading the dough by hand was a meditative process—I could feel the ingredients come together as the soft, elastic dough formed under my palms. But what surprised me most was the waiting. Watching the dough rise, knowing that time and warmth were doing their quiet work, felt like nurturing something alive. As the aroma of marinated chicken filled the air, I realized how much care goes into every element of this simple dish. Rolling out the dough, carefully layering the toppings, and finally seeing the cheese melt into golden perfection was not just about cooking—it was a small triumph. When I took that first bite, the balance of the crispy crust, tender chicken, and fresh vegetables wasn’t just delicious; it was a reward for embracing the process. That pizza taught me that great food isn’t rushed; it’s a journey of flavors, textures, and patience.

  • 2 tbsp oil

  • Pizza sauce

  • Mozzarella cheese

  • Chili flakes

  • Green capsicum

  • Onion sliced

  • Black olive

Directions

  • Step 1 :
In a large bowl, mix together flour, a pinch of salt, sugar, yeast, and powdered milk. Then, gradually add butter and warm water, kneading well to make a soft dough. Lightly grease the dough with oil, cover it, and leave it in a warm place for 1 to 2 hours to rise.

Take the chicken pieces and marinate them with onion paste, garlic paste, ginger paste, chili powder, white pepper powder, vinegar, garam masala, and a pinch of salt.
  • Step 3 :
In a frying pan, heat oil and cook the marinated chicken pieces thoroughly.
  • Step 4 :
Once the dough has risen, take a medium-sized portion. Sprinkle some flour on a baking tray and roll the dough into the shape of a pizza base. Prick the dough with a fork to make small holes. Spread pizza sauce evenly over the base. Sprinkle grated mozzarella cheese over the sauce. Add the cooked chicken, chili flakes, green bell peppers, and sliced onions as toppings. Then, sprinkle more mozzarella cheese and add black olives on top.
  • Step 5 :
Preheat the oven to 170°C (338°F). Bake the pizza for 15 to 20 minutes, until the cheese melts and turns golden.
  • Step 6 :
Let the pizza cool slightly, then cut it into slices and serve.
